The Sports Activities Coordinator assists in the planning, development, and execution of a comprehensive sports program, including leagues, programs, and camps, designed to meet the needs of the Kettering community. Direction is received from the Sports Supervisor through frequent discussions and reports on the progress of planned programs. QUALIFICATIONS Must have considerable knowledge of the principles and practices involved in developing, operating, organizing, and promoting a variety of sports programs. Must also have thorough knowledge of current sports techniques, practices, materials, equipment, rules, regulations, and safety precautions. The successful candidate must have the ability to plan, organize, and supervise the work of others; communicate effectively both orally and in writing; and work cooperatively with City personnel, the public, and organized sports groups. Graduation from a recognized college or university and/or two to three years of experience supervising youth or adult sports leagues is required. High school or college sports experience is preferred. Experience must clearly demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to perform the duties of the position. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, creative, self-motivated, assertive, and well organized. COMPENSATION: Pay ranges from $20.19 up to $26.79 per hour, with an entry rate contingent upon the applicant's related skills, knowledge, and abilities. Teaching assignments may be temporary, part-time and/or on-call and may be immediate or as needed (as specified in Education Code 8748.25). We are seeking lecturers who have the ability to teach in the above area for inclusion in the Physical Education Adjunct Pool to teach Yoga in the Fall 2026 semester and beyond.
