The YMCA of Saginaw is seeking an Early Childhood Program Administrator to lead our new, soon to be opened, licensed Childcare Center. Beyond administering a Childcare Center, you will shape the early learning experiences of youth while leading a team committed to youth development, belonging, growth, and community.
As Administrator, you will oversee daily operations, licensing compliance, staff development, enrollment, and family engagement. You will ensure classrooms reflect developmentally appropriate learning practices, social development, and a nurturing environment where every child can thrive.

Are you an experienced early childhood educator with strong knowledge of child development? Are you a collaborative leader who supports and inspires staff? Ensure licensing compliance and a safe, nurturing learning environment. Lead daily operations of a licensed Childcare program. Hire and continually develop a team of high-quality lead teachers and assistants. Build relationships with families. Manage inquiries, tours, enrollment, and onboarding. Communicate regularly with families about classroom learning and child development. Develop and manage the program budget in partnership with YMCA Association leaders. Collaborate with the Y team to deliver our Mission to support the Saginaw community.

Must be at least 21-years old and have a Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a child related field (elementary education, child counseling, child psychology, family studies, social work, or special education). Must have or be able to obtain within 6-months of hire, at least 30-hours of administration training. At least 3 years of leadership experience in a licensed childcare or preschool program. Experience supervising staff, supporting curriculum quality, and working with families. Strong organizational, leadership, and administrative skills.
