Job Description

Job Summary:

The Running Coach leads group training sessions and supports runners of various ability levels. This role focuses on planning workouts, promoting safe running practices, and fostering a positive, inclusive running community.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and lead weekly run club workouts, including warm-ups and cool-downs.

  • Provide guidance on pacing, running form, endurance, and injury prevention.

  • Adapt workouts to accommodate different experience and fitness levels.

  • Encourage motivation, teamwork, and a welcoming club environment.

  • Ensure safety during group runs by selecting appropriate routes and monitoring participants.

  • Support runners in setting and achieving personal or race goals.

Qualifications:

  • Experience with running training or coaching preferred.

  • Knowledge of endurance training and injury prevention.

  • Strong communication and leadership skills.

  • Passion for running and community fitness.

Certifications:

  • Coaching certification from organizations such as USA Track & Field or Road Runners Club of America and/or Nationally Accredited Personal Training Certification

  • CPR/AED/First Aid Certification Required

Per pay transparency requirements, the compensation for this position ranges from $20 - $65/unit. Minimum rates may vary based on local wage laws. Pay is dependent on factors including site location, specialty, certifications and work experience as well as other business needs.
