OPEN POSITIONS:

LIFEGUARD - $16.43/hour

Available Shifts:

• Tuesdays 1:00pm - 5:30pm
• Wednesdays 3:45pm - 8:45pm
• Fridays 5:15am - 11:00am / 10am - 2pm
• Saturdays 9:00am - 2:30pm
• Sundays 12:45pm - 6:45pm

Additional shifts available. Please inquire during interview.

SWIM INSTRUCTOR - $16.43/hour

Available Shifts:

• Monday - Thursday 4:00pm - 9:00pm
• Saturday - Sunday 6:00am - 12:00pm

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (ALL POSITIONS):

• Minimum age of 16 or older (with valid NYS working papers for minors)
• Ability to maintain certification-level physical and mental readiness
• LIFEGUARDS: Must have a valid lifeguard certification (within 30 days of hire) and demonstrate lifeguard skills in accordance with YMCA standards
• Be able to pass the CDYMCA swim test, as administered by the Aquatic Director or designated individual
• Basic computer skills, with strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to relate to diverse groups in the community
• Basic life support or professional rescuer CPR/AED, First Aid, and Emergency Oxygen Administration (completed within 30 days of hire)
• New Employee Orientation, Sexual Harassment, ALICE (Active Shooter), and Bloodborne Pathogens trainings (completed within 90 days of hire)
