Job Summary:
Responsibilities
We're seeking a Head Lifeguard to join our team. As our new Head Lifeguard you will:
Address patron concerns and provide frontline customer service
Coordinate emergency response efforts per YWCA’s Emergency Action Plan
Communicate schedule changes and updates to staff and patrons
Ensure lifeguard rotation and break schedules are followed
Adjust water features and programs to suit patron needs
Maintain cleanliness and safety of the Aquatics area
Track and replenish first aid and safety supplies
Assist with administrative and programming duties as assigned
Provide lifeguard or swim instruction coverage when needed
Other duties as assigned
The Ideal Candidate would have:
Must be a minimum of 16 years of age
Current accredited Lifeguarding Certification
Prior experience lifeguarding or teaching swim lessons
Current CPR/AED and First Aid for the professional rescuer certifications or the ability to obtain the certification at the time of hire
Per pay transparency requirements, the compensation for this position ranges from $19.50 - $20.40/hour. Minimum rates may vary based on local wage laws. Pay is dependent on factors including site location, specialty, certifications and work experience as well as other business needs.
