FitnessJobs.com was founded in 1998 by Alan Cohen, a 30 year veteran of the health and fitness industry. Alan was an Executive Recruiter for the industry at the time, when he saw the infamous Monster.com Super Bowl ad. He immediately researched Monster.com and their business model, and went online and purchased the domain name FitnessJobs.com and over 50 other health, fitness, recreation and leisure industry related domain names.

Over the years, FitnessJobs.com has evolved, continually changing and upgrading web technology, products and services. The latest web site version launched January 1, 2006, has all the critical recruitment features for Employers and Job Seekers, as well as being extremely user friendly.

In January 2007, FitnessJobs.com introduced The Career Collection, adding more specialized, targeted sites: AquaticsCareers.com, NutriJobs.com, ParkandRecreationJobs.com, SpaandSalonJobs.com and YogaJobs.com. All sites are powered by FintessJobs.com, allowing job seekers to navigate through the integrated sites.
